Squirrel Removal & Trapping Services
Squirrels can be one of the most destructive animals that get inside homes. They often gnaw on wood, cables and electrical wiring. The gnawing of wiring is perhaps the scariest damage they do. The stripping of the insulation from the wires increases the chances for a short and the risk of fire. In fact, squirrels are responsible for thousands of house fires each year.
When squirrels get into homes, their urine, droppings, shed fur, and parasites can cause serious health risks. Additionally, the odor that occurs when squirrels die in wall and ceiling voids, soffits, and other inaccessible areas can be unbearable. And their corpses become the perfect breeding place for flies and diseases.

NOISES IN THE ATTIC, SCRATCHING IN THE WALLS
Noises in the attic during the morning or evening could be an indication that there is a squirrel in your attic. The best way to get rid of a squirrel problem is what we refer to as full exclusion work removal. This process involves extensively checking the entire home for entry points such as holes, cracks, vents, and construction/builder’s gaps that may lead to your attic or other places in your home. Your inspector will assess the entire situation thoroughly, looking for signs of chewing, small openings leading to an attic or crawl space, droppings, nuts, or other debris. We then seal those areas so that no wildlife animal can ever re-enter.
In order to prevent an animal from entering through these gaps, Georgia P.A.W.S uses the highest quality galvanized metal flashing to seal up each entry point area. This prevents rodents, squirrels, racoons, or any other nuisance animal from chewing into the structure of your home because they are unable to chew through steel. But before we seal the very last hole in the structure, we set what we call an excluder trap over it. This trap will catch any remaining squirrels that are in the house but will not allow them to get back in. Once you are rid of the last squirrel, Georgia P.A.W.S. returns to remove that trap and seal up the last hole. This process will also give you prevention of wildlife intrusion in the future.

Wildlife in Atlanta – What to Expect
There are four species of squirrels that populate Georgia – Eastern Gray Squirrel, Red Squirrel, Fox Squirrel, and Flying Squirrel. Eastern Gray Squirrels are the most common in the metro Atlanta area. They are known to be hoarders and hide food in any cache or cavity they find in your home. Squirrels can also bring fleas and ticks into your home. They use tree branches to access loose shingles or damaged vents to get into buildings. Squirrel body oils can create an unpleasant musty odor for humans but attract other squirrels. Their sense of smell is their main form of communication to mark a territory and nest. If you notice a strong musty odor, droppings, or nesting and nut debris in your attic, please call Georgia PAWS Wildlife Removal for an inspection. We use humane methods to trap and relocate squirrels from your home, so you do not have to worry about poison affecting your children or pets or worry about the aftermath of a dead and decaying squirrel after we leave. We also offer repair services for any damage that the squirrels may have caused in your home like insulation, entry points, drywall, fascia, studs, and more. If you are in need of squirrel removal in Atlanta GA please contact us.
Our team members are experts at humanely handling each type found in Georgia. Flying squirrels may try to use your home as a shelter, which means they may cause more damage than others. Since they can glide long distances, they can also more easily access the most vulnerable areas into your house or attic. Other squirrels tend to be crafty climbers, also giving them a similar advantage.
Georgia P.A.W.S. specializes in repairing damage after removal of wildlife so you can solve your entire problem at once. See our services options below if you are looking for permanent and professional grade repair to your insulation, entry points, or damage from animal urine or feces.
